There was an interesting exchange between a lawyer and the judge on the Alex Jones Trial.

After addressing two evidentiary issues, the following occurred:
Judge: Should we address what’s coming next?
Attorney Pettis: No.
Judge: Well, I think it might make sense.
Attorney Pettis: Judge, I’m not responsible for giving my adversaries a preview of what’s to come anymore than apparently they were responsible for telling me what witnesses they were going to call today. I understand your ruling. This has been a contentious trial. I am not going to be in the crosshair with you on the first day or second or fifteenth day of trial. I understand your ruling, I will move on.
This reminds me of a video from the WIN Archives where Attorney Richard Meehan explains the need for trial lawyers to learn how to be effective without being rude or disrespectful — to balance a pleasant demeanor with an assertive position.
