Choosing Global Settings

The Editor Window has two tabs, the Settings Tab and the Events Tab.

There are four parameters to be set in the Settings Window:

Padding - is the amount of time infront of the first timeline event and behind the last timeline event. Some reasonable amount of time should be set to give the timeline padding - allowing the last event to have some room beyond it (in time) so that the event can be viewed when left justified.

Date format is where you can set the granularity of the timeline - Days, Hours, Minutes, or Seconds.

Leaderlines can be set to visible where a line is drawn from each event to the bottom of the timeline. Or Leaderlines can be turned off. When the button "Set for All Events, then All events created after that setting is set, will have Leaderlines (or not - depending on the setting).

Timeline Style - The look and feel of the timeline and the style of the Events are chosen vy picking one of 15 templates (or skins) in the Timeline Style setting.
